Amogha Srirangarajan is the founder of Carbon Origins, which develops robots to deliver food on college campuses, and hires human gamers to operate them.

Think robots delivering your food is a thing of the future? We’re closer than you may believe. Tiny robots are already crawling around many U.S. college campuses, and they’re headed to your doorstep next. While a lot of big companies like DoorDash and Uber eats are in the robot delivery game, a startup called Carbon Origins Inc. is taking robot delivery to a whole new stratosphere. The company uses human “gamers” to operate its robots, and in doing so, each tiny decision the gamers make become part of the robots’ “consciousness.”

Robot consciousness, you ask? Really? Carbon Origins Inc. CEO and co-founder Amogha Srirangarajan says absolutely – and he should know. For most of his life, Amogha Srirangarajan has been enamored of robots, rockets, and space. Now, this rocket scientist’s dreams are taking flight as he looks to make that last mile to your home as seamless as possible.
